I’m so glad that you have chosen to join me. I am Dr Leslie Sharpe, a board-certified emergency medicine physician, professional photographer, and the creative eye behind Leslie Sharpe Photography. I am dedicated to providing doctors and dentists with lifestyle portraits to help them leverage their brand and tell their unique story through my photography and personal coaching.
I wanted to tell you a little bit about me and why I became a professional photographer in addition to an emergency physician. I understand the needs of medical and dental professionals and the importance of their image. Image is absolutely everything and whether you are trying to begin a new professional career or to enhance your current career, photography and portraiture is so important. I am here to tell you why I believe this to be a fact and how I arrived at this point. May I tell you a bit about my story?
One of the things that I now own is an old camera. It is a Canon AE-1 for any of you that are familiar with photography. This was actually my father’s camera. He passed several years ago, but this was his pride and joy. Photography was a hobby for him and he was the president of the photography club where he worked for many years. When he passed, I inherited his camera collection and I like to keep his AE-1 close tome as a reminder of what he represented to me in the photography world. So, what do I do as a photographer? As I said, I help professionals to enhance their images through portraiture as they leverage themselves while changing into different aspects of their career.
I will be writing to you in the upcoming weeks to teach you a bit more and also to try to bring some inspirational thoughts and ideas to you. As you will learn, I’m a positive person. As such, I think it’s important for us to represent ourselves in our best possible light. Every day is an opportunity for you to learn, to do something different, and to expand your horizons.
