I was introduced to photography at an early age as my father was a photography hobbyist. I watched in amazement as he was able to capture what seemed to be a person’s actual soul. I remember in particular an elderly Native American chief who looked directly into the lens and evoked all of the history and tradition of his tribe. I then observed as that moment was recorded for all time as my father went back to his darkroom and brought his image to life on a piece of paper. These early memories have led me to where I am today as a photographer.
I am also an ER Physician who has always accepted the challenge to accomplish what I was told I could not achieve and do so with all of the energy within me. I am sure that many of you can relate to the rigors of higher education and only after those years have passed, realize that in addition to the knowledge that we gained, it made as stronger, more determined individuals. I take that same spirit into my portrait work. The passion that I have for photography pushes me to provide the best possible experience for each client and to surpass any expectations which they may have.
It makes me feel really good knowing that when I truly capture the essence of my clients and they enjoy the results, that my father, if he were alive today, would be so proud.
